Capiz State University – Main Chorale sweeps top prizes at the Borneo International Vocal Arts Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia.

Capiz State University (CAPSU) once again proved its excellence in the delivery of quality higher education as it emerged as one of the awardees in the 4th CHED Regional Quality Awards. The awarding ceremony, held on May 28, 2025, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, Central Philippine University, Jaro, Iloilo City, is one of the highlights of the celebration of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) 31st anniversary and the 5th Higher Education Day.

Capiz State University recently embarked on a heartfelt journey to Hiroshima University in Japan, with a dedicated delegation that included Engr. Rowen G. Gelonga (Director, DOST Region VI and BOR Member), Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi (VP for External Affairs and Linkages), Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar (VP for Research Development & Extension), Dr. Stephanie S. Pimentel (Research Director), and Dr. R Jun Frederick G. Gaspe (Hiroshima University Alumnus). The visit, which took place from May 19 to 25, 2025, was driven by a shared desire to foster enriching academic and research partnerships.

Capiz State University key officials attended Western Visayas Consortium for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (WVCIEERD) Cluster Meeting along with Northern Iloilo State University and Aklan State University.

The Capiz State University (CAPSU) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with SeeMeSOL, a provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) talent and recruitment management solutions, to boost student and alumni employability. The MOA signing took place on May 20 at the Boardroom of the Central Administration Building, Roxas City Main Campus.

The College of Education (COEd) – Graduate Program of Capiz State University (CAPSU) – Roxas City Main Campus in partnership with Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi (UMKO) in Indonesia, conducted a research mentoring engagement on May 19, 2025. The event was held at the Boardroom of the Central Administration Building and streamed via online.

The College of Education (COEd) of Capiz State University (CAPSU) – Roxas City Main Campus formalized a strengthened partnership with Dumalag Vocational-Technical School (DVTS) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on May 7 at the Accreditation Room of the Administration Building.
