Today, we celebrate the 107th foundation anniversary of Capiz State University Roxas City Main Campus.
Originally established as Capiz Trade School, the original school site was located in the old Spanish Carcel (prison) in the center of the town of Capiz (now Roxas City). It shared the same building with Capiz Provincial School (now Capiz National High School). It burned down in 1918, and the Provincial Government acquired a lot on the southwestern past of the town, where the schools were relocated and shared a common field ( now Capiz Provincial Park).
Capiz Trade School evolved through the years. It was later renamed Capiz School of Arts and Trades and then Capiz Institute of Technology, until it was merged with Panay State Polytechnic College in 1999. In 2004, with the conversion of PSPC into Capiz State University, the former Capiz Trade School became known as the Capiz State University Roxas City Main Campus.
Over the years, we have seen our institution evolve, not only as a center for academic achievement but as a beacon of innovation, resilience, and leadership in shaping the future.
This anniversary is a celebration of the collective efforts of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have worked tirelessly to uphold the values and vision of our institution. Together, we have created a legacy of learning and service that will inspire future generations.
As we reflect on our past and honor the journey, let us also look forward with optimism and determination to continue making an impact on the lives we touch.
Happy 107th anniversary to our beloved Roxas City Main Campus!
