Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, during her message in the opening of classes for the 2nd semester of academic year 2022-2023.

To continue in pursuit for quality tertiary education, Capiz State University resumes classes for the 2nd semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

The resumption of classes was initially consecrated with a holy mass for spiritual vitalization led by Rev. Fr. Robel G. Gicole, University Chaplain, held at CAPSU Dadivas Gymnasium today.

After the holy mass, a flag raising ceremony was conducted to officially signify the recommencement of classes for the last semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, delivered an uplifting message to welcome CAPSUnians students back to their academic track. Her message primarily focused to inform about the learning modality. Due to the lack of the classroom facilities, Dr. Alfon explained that fifty percent of the instructional period will be spent in face to face, the fifty percent will be online.

She also encouraged every single student to always put one’s best foot forward, to try new things guided by curiosity, and assured them with a sense of belongingness. “Our world is getting more complex and this requires diverse skills to think analytically.” She further urged the learners to “broaden your scope of knowledge and capacity so you may rise above the challenges in front of you.”

Furthermore, Dr. Alfon informed the studentry that “our University is eveready to provide with assistance and resources.”

“You are now [part of] CAPSU family, so never feel alone as our faculty and staff are here to support you. They are your allies all throughout your university journey”, she said. The University President ended her speech telling students to “feel at home and have a fulfilling university life”. She gave her warmest congratulations to the newly licensed CAPSUnians Architects who victoriously passed the recently concluded January 2023 Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE).
