Maximizing Acceleratees’ Online Presence: A Digital Marketing Training-Workshop Series

Digital marketing has become essential to any business, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs can benefit significantly from digital marketing, allowing them to reach a broader audience, increase brand awareness, and ultimately increase sales. However, many MSMEs need help in idea implementing digital marketing strategies effectively.

The CAPSULE TBI will conduct a series of training and workshops on digital marketing curricula specifically designed for CAPSULE Acceleratees that can be highly beneficial to them.

Modules 1 and 2 of the curriculum were conducted on March 14, 2023. A total of eight Acceleratees, together with their staff, attended the training.

Mr. Erol O. Dela Cruz, the invited speaker and mentor, CEO, and founder of BrandAlly introduced digital marketing and its importance. He added that it had become an essential aspect of any business, allowing businesses to reach a broader audience, increase brand awareness, and ultimately increase sales.

He also emphasized the various digital marketing categories and strategies companies can use, such as SEM – Search Engine Marketing and SMM – Social Media Marketing which includes Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Influencer/ Affiliate Marketing. Each approach involves different tactics and techniques, but they all share a common goal: to reach and engage with customers through digital channels.

He then tackled the difference between digital and traditional marketing, which has two distinct approaches to reaching and engaging with customers. While traditional marketing relies on offline channels like print, radio, TV, and billboards, digital marketing uses online channels such as search engines, social media, email, and websites.

In the afternoon, Mr. Dela Cruz discussed the how tos of creating a Facebook page. The Acceleratees were guided in creating their own Facebook pages for their businesses.

Mr. Dela Cruz believed digital marketing is crucial to any business’s success in today’s digital age. He ended the whole training day with a quote, “goal and objectives are essential to success, as they give direction and purpose to our actions, provides motivation and focus, and allow us to measure our progress and celebrate our achievements.”
