The Capiz State University – Research, Development and Extension Office celebrated its annual awarding ceremony, Pagpasidungog 2023, on Wednesday, 06 December 2023, at Capiz State University, Main Campus, Roxas City.

It was an afternoon of celebrating accomplishments and excellence. The program formally commenced with a processional entrance of the CAPSU key officials, faculty researchers and extensionists awardees, and student contest winners.

Dr. Efren L. Linan, Vice-President for Research, Development and Extension, warmly welcomed the awardees and participants. He also presented the office’s accomplishments reports in research papers published in refereed journals, extension activities conducted, technologies commercialized, and technologies applied for patent and registration, among others.

Dr. Editha C. Alfon, the University President, gave her heartwarming message. Addressing the awardees, “I am happy but simultaneously sad. This year’s Pagtukib would be my last. My term will end in September 2024. But I am happy to leave you as I could see that you are all grown up now… “

The ceremony’s highlights were the awarding of plaques, certificates, and cash prizes to the winners in the different categories. Moreover, the awardees were entertained by Krista Nina Jaro, a CAPSU Main alumna and Tawag ng Tanghalan Quarter Finalist, as a guest performer.

Pagpasidungog 2023 aims to recognize the outstanding achievement of the faculty researchers and extensionists in their pursuit of excellence consonant with the university’s vision, mission, and goals, for consistently surpassing expectations, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence, leaving an indelible mark to the institution and community.

CAPSU is looking forward to more achievements in the years to come as it continues to undertake relevant research, development and extension services.
