CAPSU extends help for Brgy. 7 fire victims; CAPSUnian students receive financial assistance
Dr. Editha C. Alfon led the Capiz State University community in extending its helping hands to the recovering fire victims from Brgy 7.
The fire victims are currently staying at Rufina Andrada Memorial Elementary School, Roxas City.
Four CAPSUnian students were heavily affected by the fire. Three of them personally received financial assistance and basic goods supply from the University during this visit while the other one will receive it in the University.
Joining Dr. Alfon in this visit were Roxas City First Lady Joanne D. Dadivas, Dr. Wennie F. Legario, VP for Administration and Finance, faculty members and student leaders from different student organizations of the University.
Rev. Fr. Robel G. Gicole, University Chaplain, presided over a holy mass in the said venue.
Different student organizations from CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus facilitated the collection and distribution of donations from kind-hearted donors.
Present also during the outreach program were Dr. Jaylord Asis, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus – Supreme Student Council (SSC) Adviser, Dr. Arnel Van Aleligay, CAPSU Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Director, CAPSU Main Chorale, faculty and staff.
In times like this, CAPSU is not only an academic institution which delivers quality tertiary education but also in front line in providing the necessary help needed by the community.
