The three qualified presidential aspirants of the Capiz State University (CAPSU) were officially introduced and presented to the public for public presentation, forum and panel interview on August 29, held at the Dadivas Gymnasium of CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus.

Dr. Wennie F. Legario, currently the Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Efren L. Linan, presently the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension; and Dr. Amel L. Magallanes, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus External Affairs and Linkages Chairperson, are the three gentlemen who answered the call for presidency.

CAPSU President Dr. Editha C. Alfon warmly welcomed CHED Chairperson Dr. J. Prospero De Vera III who was present via online; the Search Committee for Presidency (SCP) comprising of Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos as the SCP Chairperson; Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) representative; Dir. Raul C. Alvarez, Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI (CHEDROVI) representative; Dr. Abundio A. Balgos, Private Sector representative; and Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, CAPSU Faculty representative as the members; CAPSU Board of Regents; students; academic and non-academic personnel from the three campuses and six satellite colleges of this University.

Atty. Toche Vic B. Doce, CAPSU Attorney IV and Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of the College of Education at CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus hosted as the moderators of the program while Forester Desiree Mae Abalos from CHED; Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo, CAPSU Board Secretary V; Mr. Rendon V. Marquez, CAPSU Board Secretary I; and Mr. Dayniel John Juarez, CAPSU Procurement Staff served as the secretariats.

Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo introduced SCP Chairperson Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos who individually introduced the SCP members and led the reading of house rules and guidelines in public presentation and forum.

Atty. Joey A. Balatayo served as the emcee and introduced the three candidates.

Each of the three presidential candidates was given 10 minutes to present and explain their proposed vision, mission, and goals. Afterward, questions collected before the event were posed to the candidates, allowing them to share their opinions and responses.

Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, formally concluded the program with a closing remark.

In the afternoon, a closed-door panel interview with the presidential aspirants took place in the Boardroom of the CAPSU Central Administration building, where the candidates were put in the spotlight by the SCP.
