The Capiz State University (CAPSU) recently hosted an executive board meeting of the Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges in Region VI (RASUC VI), which took place in the Boardroom of the Central Administration at CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus, on September 13.
The dignitaries present during the said meeting were Dr. Bobby B. Gerardo, Chairperson of RASUC VI and President of Northern Iloilo State University (NISU); Dr. Joselito F. Villarruz, President of West Visayas State University (WVSU); Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, President of Guimaras State University (GSU); and Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, President of Aklan State University (ASU). They were joined by the finance officers and sports coordinators from the member state universities of the association.
CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, led the welcoming of the delegation to the university. In his message, he informed the delegates that the association is always welcome to CAPSU for such gatherings like this executive board meeting. Joining Dr. Linan were Dr. Wennie F. Legario, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar, OIC for Research, Development and Extension; Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaroel, University Sports Director; and Atty. Vincent D. Cerado, Executive Secretary.
The meeting revolved on matters like the fast-approaching SCUAA 2024, the presentation of the consolidated budget for 2025, and other important agenda.
The meeting concluded with a brief thanksgiving ceremony organized by the association for Dr. Editha C. Alfon, CAPSU’s former president. Each president shared their appreciation message to Dr. Alfon. In return, Dr. Alfon expressed her sincere gratitude to the members of RASUC VI, particularly to her fellow presidents, for the fruitful years of collaboratively working together in achieving the goals of the association.
