The Capiz State University, through its Quality Management System (QMS) office, held this year’s hybrid management review to reinforce its commitment to high standards in quality management. The session took place in the Boardroom of the Central Administration at CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus, and via Zoom videoconferencing, on October 25.
The following agenda items were presented and discussed:
- International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Update by Dr. Matilde Perez, QMS Director;
- Result of Internal Audit and Status of NCs and Corrective Action Report by Dr. Doreen Ata-al, University Lead Auditor;
- Report of Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team Leaders: Dr. Remia Garde, Dr. Fe Mae Laborte, Dr. Marcela Buenvenida, Dr. Grazl Baria, Prof. Virginia Magbanua, Dr. Rossandrew Villaruel, Dr. Jocelyn Magallanes, Dr. Ma. Venus Lozada, Dr. Miraluna Sabid, Prof. Mary Joy Silvino, and Dr. Honey Lee Casa;
- Status of Action from Previous Management Review: The challenge made by Dr. J. - Information or Feedback from on the Performance and Effectiveness of QMS through Customers’ Satisfaction and Feedback by Ms. Myleen Abelarde and Dr. Michelle Acevedo, Human Resource and Management Practitioners;
- The Performance of External Providers: Contractors by Dr. Imelda Bacanto, Project Monitoring Director, and Supplier of Goods and Services by Mr. Leo Marabe, University Supply Officer;
- Adequacy of Resources: Financial Performance Report for 2023-2024 and Approved Budget for Fiscal Year 2025 by Dr. Cherry Ann Deang;
- Trends and Analysis: Enrollment (with emphasis on priority courses) and Faculty Development (joint-circular based) by Dr. Susan O. Dangan, Performance Monitoring on Procurement (APP vs NOA) by Ms. Amy Joy Dapilaga, BAC Secretariat, Comparative IGP Income for 2023-2024 by Dr. Cleo Jude Joaquin, University Business Affairs Office (UBAO) Director, and Annual Disbursement Vouchers Received and Processed from January to September 2024 with comparative figures in 2023 by Ms. Maribel Tuante, Chief Accountant; and
- Continuous Improvement on CAPSU Connect by Dr. Marien Laureto, International and National Affairs Director.
Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, delivered the response and commitment message on behalf of Dr. Efren L. Linan.
This year’s management review served as a platform for constructive discussions among CAPSU key officials, office directors, campus administrators and satellite college directors, deans, and IQA team leaders. They presented the progress of their respective offices, shared insights, highlighted achievements, and identified areas for improvement.
