Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President III, convened the University’s Merit and Selection Plan Technical Working Group (TWG) and the rest of the key officials of the Capiz State University (CAPSU) to review and assess the enhanced Merit Selection Plan (MSP) for the university’s academic personnel.
The said activity was conducted last January 3, 2025 at the Central Administration Boardroom.
Dr. Efren L. Linan, CAPSU SUC President III, led the welcoming of the attendees, which comprised the university vice presidents, campus administrators, satellite college directors, and the members of the TWG.
Dr. Vizur-Ty C. Gaitano, the Director of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office – Capiz was also invited to the meeting.
Before the review, Dr. Hermelisa A. Ochon, University Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Administration, presented the rationale of the activity and Atty. Toche Vic B. Doche, the University Attorney IV, introduced the members of the TWG.
Dr. Michelle C. Acevedo, the University Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO) and the Secretariat of the TWG, read the content of the plan in which meticulously reviewed and deliberated by the attendees. Dr. Gaitano of the CSC Field Office – Capiz also shared his analyses and inputs to the content for the consideration of the TWG.
Dr. Annalie G. Campos, the newly appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs and the TWG Chairman, wrapped up the meeting with a message of appreciation to all the attendees for their inputs and for a very fruitful discussion.
The MSP is adopted by CAPSU to adhere to the principles of merit, fitness and equality during the selection and promotion of academic personnel, pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Book V of the Administration Code of 1987; CSC Memo Circular No. 3 series of 2001; CSC Resolution No. 1701009 dated June 16, 2017; and CSC MC No. 14, series of 2018.
