On October 4, 2023, the IPMO Technology Transfer Team continued on the fourth day of their Campus Focus Group Discussion on Technology Transfer Awareness at CAPSU Burias Campus. Under the leadership of Dr. Efren L. Linan, the VP for Research Development and Extension, the team was welcomed by Dr. Rodyard B. Madiclum, the Burias Campus Administrator.
In Dr. Madiclum’s warm welcome, he highlighted the importance of the activity in harnessing the strengths of their campus towards the ambitious goal of technology commercialization for the University. This objective reflects a forward-looking approach, recognizing the pivotal role that technology transfer can play in advancing the institution.
In his inspirational address, Dr. Linan underscored the significance of innovation within the University. He passionately spoke about the University’s commitment to fostering innovation and how it aligns with the Future of Research and Development Landscape in the Philippines. Dr. Linan also acknowledged the critical challenges accompanying innovation, emphasizing the need for creative solutions and resilience in the face of obstacles.
