The University Business Affairs Office proudly hosted its inaugural PAGDUMDOM: A Recognition for Production Workers of Capiz State University on August 30, 2024, at the CAPSU Main Campus Conference Room. This event was dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the invaluable contributions of the university’s production workforce, whose dedication and hard work play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the institution’s operational efficiency and productivity.

The theme “Celebrating Excellence and Dedication in Production,” highlighted the commitment, diligence, and outstanding performance of CAPSU’s production staff. The celebration served not only as recognition but also as inspiration for continued excellence across the university.

Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the significance of “PAGDUMDOM” in remembering and honoring achievements and performances worth emulating within the academic community. “𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮,” Dr. Alfon remarked. Following her address, a presentation showcased the programs, projects, activities, and accomplishments of CAPSU’s Income-Generating Projects (IGP), highlighting the university’s continuous efforts in enhancing production and efficiency.
The event also featured Mr. Ronald U. So, Vice Chair of the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PSMEDC) in Roxas City, as a resource speaker. Drawing from his extensive expertise in commercialization, industrial production, agriculture, and related fields, Mr. So spoke on innovations in production techniques, providing valuable insights that enriched the understanding and knowledge of those in attendance.

Dr. Hermelisa A. Ochon, Chief Administrative Officer for Administration, delivered the closing remarks, representing Dr. Wennie F. Legario, VP for Administration and Finance.
