March 29-30, 2023 – Ten major courses of the Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) Program of Capiz State University (CAPSU) were subjected to a thorough evaluation by the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) Evaluators under the Commission of Higher Education – Regional Office VI (CHEDRO6) held at CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus, Conference Room.
 
Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, warmly welcomed the RQAT evaluators from CHEDRO6, attendees, faculty and staff. In her speech she mentioned that “Team CAPSU have no fear” for one of its partners in development, the RQAT evaluators directed by CHEDRO6, “will lead CAPSU to the right track.” Additionally, she hoped for a better BIT once the assessment is over. “Have courage and an open mind, we all can do this as a team”, was her advice to everyone as she ends her message.
 
Dr. Gregorio B. Perez Jr., CHED Supervisor from CHEDRO6; Dr. Maria J-Len Mesias, RQAT Member from University of St. La Salle, Bacolod; and Dr. Rene Celda, RQAT Member from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) were the ones who assessed CAPSU BIT Program. They were the ones who personally introduced themselves to everybody present during the activity.
 
Before the perusal of the documents, the BIT RQAT Taskforce were also individually introduced to the evaluators and the CAPSU Main Chorale performed a presentation to entertain the evaluators and attendees.
 
The whole afternoon of day 1 was allocated to the evaluation of the documents and conducted an ocular inspection of the program equipment and facilities.
 
In day 2, the RQAT evaluators presented their findings and enumerated their suggestions and recommendations for CAPSU to comply as soon as possible in order to acquire the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
 
After the presentation of results, a certificate of recognition was given to each evaluator for sharing their invaluable time and expertise for the betterment of CAPSU BIT Program.
 
The acceptance of challenge was acknowledged by Dr. Ma. Dorothee J. Villarruz, CAPSU Roxas Campus Administrator.
 
Engr. Joel C. Villaruz, PhD, Dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) expressed his sincere gratitude towards the RQAT Evaluators for leading the assessment and for sharing their insightful comments and recommendations on what and how to improve the BIT Program of CAPSU.
 
The activity was made possible through the effort of Dr. Miraluna T. Sabid, Roxas City Main Campus Quality Assurance Chairperson.

Present also during the 2-day RQAT evaluation were Dr. Dennis L. Ledesma, BIT Program Chairperson; Ms. Emmy S. Batuigas, College Librarian I; and Ms. Dianesa T. Bialen, Designated Librarian.
 
The program formally ended as everyone sang the CAPSU March.
