Capiz State University participated in a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing of the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) approved projects for funding last October 4, 2022, at the Venice Grand Mall, Taguig City.

Dr. Efren L. Linan, the Vice President of the Research, Development and Extension Office of CAPSU represented on behalf of the University President, Dr. Editha C. Alfon during the ceremony.

The first project is the Innovations Laboratory for Process Machine and Related Technology Development (i-Lab ProMaTech) which could open up new research opportunities

The second project is the Quali-Safe Lab: Food Quality and Safety Laboratory for Seafoods and other Innovative Food Products which could cater to the development of new food technologies that can add to the province’s food value chain as well as enhance the capability of the students and faculty researchers of the university.

The projects were approved under the Infrastructure Development Program (IDP) of DOST-PCIEERD which will be implemented for two years and spearheaded by the highly distinguished faculty researchers of the institution; Dr. Marife Hilapad and Engr. Monalyn L. Oloroso.
