For the second time this academic year, Capiz State University subjected to a virtual survey visit seven of its curricular programs offered at CAPSU Burias, CAPSU Dumarao and CAPSU Mambusao. All programs were candidates for Level III-Phase 2 accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Dec. 14-16.
The programs evaluated were Doctor of Education, Master in Public Administration and Master in Management of CAPSU Burias; and Bachelor in Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture of CAPSU Dumarao.
CAPSU Mambusao submitted Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Bachelor Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Arts in English Language.
Level III-Phase 2 accreditation requires four out of the 10 areas for evaluation- two mandated areas and two areas chosen by the institution.
The mandated areas are Curriculum and Instruction, and Extension. Faculty and Research were the areas chosen by the institution to complete the line-up.
The pool of accreditors was composed of Dr. Esmen M. Cabal (PRMSU), Dr. Ronnie N. Parica (URS), Dr. Jerry S. Cristobal (PRMSU), Dr. Eulogio S. Sacayanan (DMMMSU), Dr. Jo A. Espiritu (PRMSU), Dr. Yolanda P. Albano (ISU), Dr. Nemia M. Galang (PRMSU) and Dr. Rommel R. Castro (URS).
Last October, the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration of the campus was submitted to Level II accreditation by the same agency.
