Capiz State University has passed the series of program accreditations conducted by the Accrediting Agencies for Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP).
Thirteen programs from five campuses and satellite colleges, namely the Burias and Pontevedra campuses and Dayao, Dumarao, and Pilar satellite colleges were submitted for accreditation last October 17-22, 2022.
For level IV, from CAPSU Pontevedra campus, the re-accredited program is Master in Management major in Educational Management.
For level III, from CAPSU Dayao satellite college, the re-accredited programs are Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries; and from CAPSU Burias campus, the re-accredited programs are Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management and Marketing Management, MS in Animal Science/MS in Agronomy, and Doctor of Public Administration.
For Level II, from CAPSU Burias campus, the re-accredited program is Doctor in Philosophy in Agriculture major in Agronomy and Animal Science; from CAPSU Dumarao satellite college, the re-accredited programs are Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies and Bachelor of Science in Criminology; from CAPSU Dayao satellite college, the re-accredited program is Bachelor of Science in Computer Science; from CAPSU Pillar satellite college, the re-accredited programs are Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
For Level 1, from CAPSU Pontevedra campus, the re-accredited program is Master of Arts in Education major in Social Science and General Science.
The accreditation of curricular programs in the Philippines, particularly for state universities and colleges, is the main function of AACCUP. Besides, one of the function of it, is to develop a mechanism of, and conduct the evaluation of programs and institutions.
