The Capiz State University (CAPSU) has welcomed two new members to its Board of Regents (BOR). They formally pledged their commitment by taking the oath in the Board Room, at the Office of the Chairperson, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City, on August 15.
CHED Chairperson Dr. J. Prospero de Vera graced the oath-taking ceremony.
The new members of the BOR representing the private sector are Dr. Peter Latimar L. Andrada, an active practicing gastroenterologist and member of the Board of Directors at Capiz Doctor’s Hospital, and Atty. Danny N. Valenzuela, a private practicing attorney at D.N. Valenzuela Law and Management Consultant and Dean at Saint Columban Law School in Pagadian City.
Present also in the said ceremony were CAPSU President Dr. Editha C. Alfon; Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo, Board Secretary V; Mr. Rendon V. Marquez, Board Secretary I; Regent Nerio Harion, Alumni Federation President; Regent Elna N. Velarde, Faculty Federation President; Regent Mark Grijaldo, representative of congresswoman Jane T. Castro; and Regent Mark Andrew L. Delino, Student Federation President.
