Capiz State University (CAPSU) and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Faculty Exchange Program held its Closing Ceremony last January 19, 2022 via Zoom.The virtual closing ceremony was spearheaded by Dr. Muchlas,MT, Rector of UAD and Dr. Editha C. Alfon, CAPSU President. Joining with them were Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Susan O. Dangan, the Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Nilo D. Delfin, the Director for External Affairs; Prof. Marien A. Laureto, University Coordinator for External Affairs and Linkages, CAPSU Administrators, and Deans of the participating colleges, as well as the exchange and host lecturers and administrative staff of CAPSU.

On the other hand, the event was also graced by Dr. Trikinasih Handayani, M. Sc.; Dr. Dody Hartanto M.Pd.; Nizam Ahsani, Ph.D; Wajiran, Ph.D, Dwi Santoso, Ph.D; Ida Puspita MARes; officials; and lecturers from the English Literature and English Education Study Program of UAD.One the highlights of the said ceremony was the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to all the Exchange and Host lecturers of CAPSU and UAD who participated in the said exchange program, claiming that their commitment to inculcate knowledge, skills, and values to the students during the entire duration of the program is truly commendable and has contributed to the realization of the internationalization thrusts of both universities. This was then followed by testimonies of lecturers of their experiences and learnings. The exchange program happened after both universities inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The English Language Education Study Program (PBI) and English Literature of the UAD and the College of Education of CAPSU believed that this was beneficial for this could spark new learnings and experiences from both faculty and students.

The faculty exchange program commenced last 1st Semester, October 23, 2021 and ended last December 23, 2021. All partcipants taught using the hybrid method of learning. Meanwhile, Dr. Editha C. Alfon expressed her heartfelt gratitude in the recently concluded program as she imbibed to everyone the realization of giving importance to international partnership as it could bring educational development to the university and to its stakeholders. “We thank UAD for collaborating with us in developing quality education,” she said.
