Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President III of Capiz State University, presided over the joint academic and administrative council meeting – the first for his term. This event was held at the Dadivas Social Hall of the CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus on September 24, 2024.

The said meeting was attended by the vice presidents, campus administrators, satellite college directors, Central Administration directors, deans and program chairpersons, and faculty members.

The following important matters were presented for the council’s discussion and approval: Graduate Program Operations Manual (GPMO) presented by Dr. Susan O. Dangan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; proposed new undergraduate programs presented by Dr. Ian B. Arcega, Dean of the College of Management of the Roxas City Campus and University Director for Student Affairs and Services; appointment of faculty members (SG-19 and above) presented by Dr. Susan O. Dangan; changes in communication and operational flow for core university functions presented by Dr. Hermelisa A. Ochon, Chief Administrative Officer; Annual Procurement Plan for Calendar Year 2025 presented by Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, and Chair of the Bids and Awards Committee; memoranda of agreement signed with private and public institutions; proposed new design for the employee ID presented by Mr. Leo Anthony S. Navarrosa, MIS Director. The council approved all these proposals through votation.

The academic and administrative council provides a productive platform for key university officials, faculty members, and personnel from the three campuses and six satellite colleges to engage in meaningful discussions.
