Gov. Fredenil “Oto” H. Castro visited CAPSU and met the graduating students and scholars.
 
The said visit was held today at CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus Dadivas Gymnasium.
 
The program was graced by Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, as she delivered a message.
 
“Months from now, you will be marching for graduation and earn the degree that you have sought for after 4 or 5 years,” Dr. Alfon said before a throng of CAPSUnians.
 
“After that, you will be seeking for jobs, ang iban sa inyo malakat sa Manila, sa Cebu, or sa abroad, and iban mapabilin diri sa aton [nga probinsya].”
 
In addition, she explained that the Governor’s visit to CAPSU aimed to inform the students of a great opportunity that awaits them after graduation.
 
Mr. John Leo Marco D. Beldia, PESO Manager of Capiz Provincial Government, firstly introduced the PESO office, its mandate, programs, and the services they offer before he excitedly informed everyone that the province of Capiz is one of the three possible sites where Qualfon, a business process outsourcing (BPO) industry will be established.
 
Qualfon is a global provider of outsourcing services including call centers, customer service, customer acquisition and retention, customer on-boarding, as well as back-office processing founded in 1995.
 
Governor Castro then proceeded to give his kind message. “Having good manners and right conduct is the best qualification,” Gov. Castro reminded the students, highlighting the importance of possessing the right values matters most when seeking for a job. He then conveyed his news for everybody about Qualfon, which will be needing 1,200 employees. Furthermore, he believed that graduates from CAPSU are more competent and likely to be employed compared to other private schools in the province of Capiz.
 
Dr. Susan O. Dangan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, expressed her gratitude for the unending support that CAPSU has been receiving from the Provincial Government of Capiz, especially from the leadership of our respected Governor Castro as she closed the program.
 
The graduating students from the different campuses and satellite colleges who attended the activity were delighted to see the presence and heard the news from the Governor. They feel secured knowing that after they graduate college, there is Qualfon here in the province of Capiz waiting for them.
 
Present during the Governor’s visit were Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Efren L. Linan, Vice-President for Research, Development, Extension; Dr. Wennie F. Legario, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Ma. Dorothee J. Villarruz, Roxas City Campus Administrator; and CAPSU faculty and staff.
