On March 8, 2023, at CAPSU Dumarao, representatives from Capiz State University (CAPSU) and the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) of the Department of Agriculture met to finalize the memorandum of agreement (MOA) in a strategic partnership in managing the 20 hectares BAI livestock farm located in Brgy. Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz.
Dr. Rene C. Santiago, Farm Operations Group Bureau of Animal Industry Head, and Mr. Luisito M. Avante, Focal Person and Center Chief of BAI Livestock Farm, represented BAI, while CAPSU was represented by Dr. Marie Jean P. Penson, Dumarao Satellite College Director; Dr. Maryneth B. Barrios, CAPSU Dumarao Research and IPMO Chair; Dr. Emely J. Escala, Livestock Research Development Center Director; and Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar, University Research Director.
After the dialogue, representatives of both institutions visited the BAI livestock farm located in Brgy. Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz for an ocular survey.
The MOA’s final draft will be presented to the members of the Board of Regents of Capiz State University in a meeting scheduled this month.
