CMC, nailed it again!
This July 12, Wednesday, CapSU Main Chorale (CMC) clinched the Silver Diploma in Level 7, Category 5 – College/University Choir in the 12th World Choir Games (WCG) in Gangneung, South Korea, as they competed and contended against three university choirs from other Asian Countries, namely China, South Korea, and Malaysia.
In the previous level and category of WCG, CMC won the a Golden Diploma – Level 4 Award in the Folklore Acapella Category, last July 6, under the direction of Prof. Vivian Apuang and now claiming the Silver Diploma in Category 5 – College/University Choir under the baton of Sir Mico Lauron.
The World Choir Games was a spirited celebration of music, culture, and unity, fostering a sense of the global community through the shared language of the choral company. The said event showcased an incredible array of talents and diversity with choirs from various countries coming together to create a harmonious atmosphere. Choirs of different sizes and age groups competed in various categories to share their unique vocal abilities and musicality.
CMC members and staff exerted a lot of hard work and wielded an incomparable amount of skills to show their unique and splendid harmony, and claim the momentum they always wanted to have. They’re away from their home, yet they nailed the entire competition as they represent the university and the country in a bigger and more prestigious arena, showcasing their talents and skills all over the world. Their wondrous triumphs and victories will absolutely foster pride and inspiration to the Filipino people. The path they had toil before they were able to go to South Korea and perform and compete in a prestigious competition was was not an easy feat.
CMC nailing another milestone, and bringing home another achievement to our university and beloved country is, indeed, an encouragement to everyone to always show what they’ve got, and unswervingly fight for their ambitions and aspirations in life, regardless of how unfamiliar and overwhelming the place is.
CMC, indeed raised the banner of the Capiz State University in the international stage and received unending congratulations from the University.
