The Quest Publication, the official student publication of Capiz State University (CAPSU) – Roxas City Main Campus, achieved a resounding victory by winning top awards at the 15th National Campus Media Conference. The event took place from September 18-20, at Angel’s Hill Tagaytay Retreat and Formation Center in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

The event was organized by the School Press Advisers Movement (SPAM) Inc., in cooperation with De La Salle Lipa (DLSL), and featured approximately 820 participants from 61 private and public schools and universities across the country.

Dr. Charess Joy dela Cruz, TQ Adviser and faculty member of the College of Education (COEd) at Roxas City Main Campus, earned 7th place in News Story Writing (English) for advisers.

Jessy Chris A. Santos, TQ Editor-In-Chief and a 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) student, secured 4th place in Editorial Writing (Filipino).

Kenneth M. Villaruz, TQ Senior Artist and a 4th-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in English student, claimed 6th place in Backpack Journalism (English).

The event had the theme, “Championing Accountability in Campus Journalism for a Positive Societal Impact through Expanding and Venturing into the Digital Horizon,” recognized only the top 10 best-performing journalists in each category, both at the tertiary level and among advisers.
