A total of 28 students of Capiz State University (CAPSU) are set to embark on a meaningful international journey as participants of the 10th Batch Southeast Asia (SEA) – Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange Project by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
The Office of the Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages (OVPEAL), led by Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, held a pre-departure orientation seminar on January 15 in the Boardroom of the CAPSU Central Administration Building. The program aimed to equip the CAPSUnian delegation with essential information and formally send them off to various partner academic institutions abroad.

In exchange for the 28 outbound participants, CAPSU will welcome 21 inbound participants this semester from partner universities in Indonesia and Thailand. These participants will be assigned in different campuses and satellite colleges of the university and will be deployed for 28 days in the chosen cooperating schools in the Department of Education (DepEd) Roxas City and Capiz divisions.
Also present during the orientation seminar were Dr. Marien A. Laureto, Director for National and International Affairs; Dr. Christa Hope G. Corros (Dayao) and Dr. Jereline D. De Pablo (Pontevedra), University SEA-Teacher Coordinators; along with the designated Campus EAL Chairs: Dr. Jennylen Laña (Burias), Dr. Ginalyn G. Dacles (Roxas City Main Campus), Prof. Erlyn F. Lauron (Dumarao), Prof. Lida L. Corcino (Mambusao), Prof. Mark Raniel A. Nuñeza (Pilar), Prof. Edwin Jaimes B. Villaflor (Sigma), and Dr. Maria Diña B. Palomar (Tapaz), whose contributions are instrumental in the university’s active participation in the said global endeavor.
CAPSU continues to foster strong ties with international partners and cultivate a globally-minded community through initiatives like the SEA – Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange Program.
