The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) delegation from this University brought home top awards in the recently concluded Philippine ROTC Games 2024 Visayas Qualifying Leg held in Bacolod City, on May 26 to June 1. The said week-long event had the theme, “Husay ng ROTC, Husay ng Kabataan.”

Nearly 2,000 participants from various ROTC-inclined schools in the Visayas region contested in 14 sports disciplines: Aquatics/Swimming, Arnis, Athletics, Basketball (5×5), Boxing, Chess, E-Sports (Mobile Legends and Call of Duty), Kickboxing, Sepak Takraw, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Target Shooting, and Raiders Competition.

Present in the said competition to support and accompany the delegation were Dr. Rossandrew Villaruel, CAPSU Sport Director; Dr. Jayvee Crespo; Prof. Joseph Magsipoc; Prof. Reeven Simon; Mr. Roberto Balasa; Mr. Alfonso Clavero Jr.; and Mr. Allan F. Buhayan as the coaches.
