To strengthen CAPSU’s commitment towards internationalization, Capiz State University (CAPSU) and Japan Hospitality Learning Center Association (JHLCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Capiz State University, Roxas City Main Campus, Conference Room, on October 17, 2022.

This landmark partnership aims to provide skills intensive training and internship in Japan industries in the first quarter of 2023 to 40 BS in Hospitality Management students, and 40 BS in Civil Engineering students, a total of 120 CAPSU students.

Present at the MOU signing were Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III; Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice-President for External Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Susan O. Dangan, Vice-President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Wennie F. Legario, Vice-President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Ma. Dorothee J. Villarruz, Roxas City Campus Administrator; Dr. Sebastian Caduco, Dayao Satellite College Director; Dr. Honey Lee Casa, Pontevedra Campus Administrator; Dr. Jennifer Benliro, Pilar Satellite College Director; Annalie Campos, Sigma Satellite College Director; and Ms. Marilou Ramos, JHLCA Director.

Mr. Kazutaka Nakao, Chief Executive Officer of JHLCA arrived in the University for the face-to-face MOU signing on the first day of the activity. Furthermore, he visited the Office of the Mayor, Hon. Ronnie T. Dadivas and Office of the Governor, Hon. Fredenil “Oto” Castro for a courtesy call together with CAPSU key officials.

The said partnership will favor the qualified students to acquire experience related to their chosen field after they graduate.

This MOU signing was facilitated by the Office of the Vice-President for External Affairs and Linkages.
