The Capiz State University (CAPSU) and Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) sealed a partnership through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which aims to mainstream volunteerism in the academe held in the Office of the University President at CAPSU Central Administration Building, May 21, 2024.
Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III represented CAPSU while Mr. Donald James D. Gawe, Executive Director represented the PNVSCA during the activity.
The PNVSCA is a government agency under the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) mandated by Republic Act No. 9418, also known as the “Volunteer Act of 2007”.
Present also during the MOU signing were the four deans of CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus: Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of the College of Education (COED); Dr. Ace D. Barredo, Dean of the Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) program; Dr. Ian B. Arcega, Dean of the College of Management (CM); Engr. Joel Villaruz, Dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT); Dr. Jaylord Asis, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus – Supreme Student Council (SSC) Adviser; and Mr. John Mark B. Dariagan, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus Scholarship Coordinator.
