Capiz State University (CAPSU) Sigma Satellite College organized a program to honor its teachers, employees, and retirees. The awarding ceremony took place in the Cultural Center at CAPSU Sigma Satellite College on October 10 in celebration of the World Teachers’ Day and as part of the 123rd anniversary of Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Ms. Lyneth Joy Vista, CAPSU Sigma Supreme Student Council (SSC) President, led the prayer and then was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem which was played on air.
Dr. Annalie G. Campos, CAPSU Sigma College Director, extended a warm welcome to the awardees and attendees. She acknowledged the diligent teachers for their tireless dedication to quality education, the employees for their invaluable service, and the two retirees for their indelible impact that have had contributed big to the University.
Prof. Emelda R. Bacalangco and Ms. May Joy L. Fernandez, the retirees, each was given a plaque, a token, and their 201 files. The awarding activity was facilitated by Dr. Fortunato A. Azarcon, Prof. Monalisa Odad, Dr. Kirsty G. Tanque, and Ms. Aiza A. Lizada.
An audio-video presentation of their CAPSU journey was presented for the retirees to watch and they were given a chance to deliver a message.
Likewise, various awards and recognitions were awarded to the outstanding employees and service awardees who dedicated their career to CAPSU Sigma and educators who have shown unparalleled love for teaching.
The program culminated as the entire crowd in unison sang a song.
