The Capiz State University (CAPSU) received multiple accolades during the 3rd Regional Quality Awards hosted by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 6 (CHEDRO-VI) on May 29, 2024, at the Urdaneta Hall of the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City.
CAPSU was awarded the following:
Award for Excellence in Community Extension- Award for Excellence in Indigenous Peoples Education – CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus
- Award for Excellence in NSTP
- Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Innovative Awards for Higher Education – CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus
- Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Innovative Awards for Higher Education – CAPSU Burias Campus
Dr. Editha C. Alfon, SUC President III, accepted the awards alongside with Dr. Joel C. Villaruz, Dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT); Prof. Jocelyn S. Legaspi, Director of the Extension Office; and Ms. Rosalie Salvilla, Executive Assistant. The recognitions were presented by CHEDRO-VI Director Raul C. Alvarez.
The accolades obtained are evidence of CAPSU’s dedication to implementing impactful community extension programs and prioritizing not only the academic achievement of the students but also their overall well-being.
