After a rigorous two-day evaluation conducted by the NQA Global Assurance auditors, the auditing body confirmed CAPSU’s continued compliance with international quality management standards.

The NQA audit team was led by Mr. Rannie Bernardino, alongside with Ms. Thesz Bernardino, Dr. Mark Anthony Vera, and Mr. Eugene Herradura as auditors. Their comprehensive assessment spanned the university’s Central Administration offices, as well as offices across its three campuses and six satellite colleges, on December 12 to 13, 2024.

The audit began with an opening program in the Boardroom of the Central Administration, where CAPSU President Efren L. Linan addressed the attendees. In his message, Dr. Linan underscored the strategic benefits of ISO certification, noting its role in maintaining the university’s credibility, supporting internationalization efforts, and fostering operational improvements.

“It is always our desire, our commitment, to subject our university to ISO 9001:2015,” Dr. Linan stated. “We have strategic benefits wherein Capiz State University will maintain its credibility upon passing this recertification audit. Also, this will enhance our reputation as we embark on our plan to strengthen our internationalization activities.”

He further emphasized the operational, risk management, and compliance benefits associated with ISO certification. “So, we have identified several risks during our operation and as we experience this one, through this certification we will be able to address these different risks that we are facing. This will help us continuously improve our processes, address operational risks, and ensure compliance with standards and relevant laws,” Dr. Linan said.

“We are willing to accept our lapses and continue to take actions on whatever lapses that we have because we believe that this is one way in which we can attain our goal of rising Capiz State University as one CAPSU and to rise Capiz as well in the near future.”

Closing his remarks, Dr. Linan encouraged those present to maintain a positive outlook throughout the audit process. “Smile because we have the audit team to guide, help, suggest, and improve CAPSU’s processes if there are any lapses.”

Following the evaluation of administrative and academic processes at various units and offices, the audit team presented its consolidated report. Mr. Rannie Bernardino congratulated CAPSU for passing the audit and recommended the renewal of its ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The recertification affirms CAPSU’s steadfast commitment to delivering quality services and ensuring that its processes align with international standards. The university’s efforts reflect its dedication to continuous improvement, risk management, and adherence to quality assurance protocols.

In attendance were CAPSU’s key officials, office heads, directors, campus administrators, satellite college directors, quality assurance chairpersons, faculty, and staff.
