The Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main Campus welcomed faculty members and 106 graduate school students from the Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) Graduate School of Education (GSE) for a benchmarking visit aimed at exploring the best practices of CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus’ College of Education (COEd) Graduate School program. The learning activity took place at the Boardroom of the Central Administration on January 25.

Dr. Annalie G. Campos, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan. In her opening remarks, she expressed gratitude to the attendees for selecting CAPSU as their benchmarking destination.

Dean of CMC’s GSE Dr. Gemma Kintanar then introduced the visiting delegation. Subsequently, Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of COEd, presented the college’s best practices, highlighting practical knowledge, academic and administrative strategies, and notable activities conducted by the COEd Graduate School program.

The benchmarking visit concluded with a closing remark delivered by Dr. Marien A. Laureto, National and International Director, on behalf of Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages (VPEAL).

Also present during the learning activity were Dr. Cleo Jude A. Joaquin, CAPSU Main Campus Focal Person; Atty. Joey B. Balatayo, a faculty member of the COEd who served as the emcee; program chairs; as well as faculty members and staff of the said college.

The benchmarking activity fostered a meaningful exchange of ideas and strengthened ties between CAPSU and CMC, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing quality graduate education.
